Daytrip to Chicago – July 2009

Chicago for the day?  Yep, I did it.  I had about 6 hours to see what I could see before I had to head back to the airport.  I think I saw a fair amount of stuff though.  I met someone else that was heading to Chicago for the day in Minneapolis, so we decided to hit it up together.

The first thing we started with was Navy Pier.  I am not big on the tourist-y things, but we checked it out anyway.  After wandering around town for a bit, we found Millennium Park.  What a wonderful place!  If I lived in Chicago, I am sure that I would spend a lot of time there.  We also went to the Art Institute of Chicago.  I only had about two and a half hours there, but it got my long lost taste for art going again.  You could easily spend a whole day there and not see everything.  There is something for everyone.

Chicago is a fun town, everyone should see it.  Check out a few photos.
